Maya the baby caterpillar munched on her leafy dinner with her eyes glued to the TV screen. About the Book
“The Painted Butterfly” is an illustrated children’s book about Maya the caterpillar. Maya grows up looking different from butterflies that she admires, but her friends help her realize that she’s beautiful the way she is.
About the Author
V. Anna is still in high school, and anxiously awaits the dreaded terror that is junior year. After witnessing some young children’s joyful reactions to her previous book, “The Friendly Flower,” she became inspired to write and illustrate “The Painted Butterfly.” She hopes that this story will make more kids smile, and help them grow up with a stronger sense of friendship and beauty. www.v-annabooks.com
