Sebastian, a gentle giant who always works hard to please those around him. Isabelle, the only female of the crew who though slight in stature more than makes up for it with a personality the size of Texas. And last, but not least, KiKi, a no-nonsense, practical thinker who keeps the traveling trio in check. Most might think these three would not likely make up a family, but this story shows that with trust, patience, and lots of love, any family can make it through the most curious of times. About the Author

Ruby Lewis was born and raised in central Kentucky, spending her childhood in a small, farm town. When she was 17, she moved to the “big city” to attend the University of Louisville. Louisville became her home for the next 30 years. During this time, she built a career in information technology as a technical project/program manager. In 2011, a career opportunity presented itself and, after living in a 60-mile radius her entire life, she moved to Long Beach, California. Throughout her life, animals have been a part of her family. When the move to California occurred, this was no different; she packed up and drove cross-country with two dogs and a cat.
