About the Book

This book is aimed at the English- and Spanish-speaking readers interested in learning the Spanish language. It also would be interesting to people with a certain curiosity about other ethnicity and cultures. Nieve the Snowman exposes the personal experience of Hispanics living in the United States. Among other topics, the reader will be able to learn Spanish words and sentences. This story could be utilized to practice Spanish at home for English speakers and to teach the Spanish language in a classroom setting for reading entertainment and information for Spanish and English speakers. The general theme is the experience of an immigrant family living in the USA. The book also teaches the importance of friendship. It could be used for personal home use, for kids and young readers, for preschool setting, for kindergarten, or for elementary education, as well as for any adult who is interested in Spanish and wants to learn about other cultures.

About the Author

Char Prieto was born in Spain, educated in Paris, London and Barcelona and imported to the United States -- meaning she belongs to many countries. She holds a PhD. in Spanish and she is a Professor of Spanish language, history and cultures at the university level. She has authored several books and numerous scholarly articles and participated in national and international conferences including, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. Minjee Kim was born in South Korea. She graduated from California State University, Chico in 2017. She moved to the United States when she was 22 years old. This is her debut picture book. She lives in Chico, CA.
