As a drug counselor, he abuses his authority. When his wife leaves him, he kidnaps her in a vain attempt to persuade her to reconcile. After losing his job, he strikes back at society by selling illegal drugs to the people he’d once been committed to help. During a drug raid, he’s cornered by law enforcement with no means of escape. About the Author

Satcho Parker was born on a hot July summer night in rural South Georgia. In 1972, he moved to South Florida in search of a better life. After years of working in alcohol and drug rehabilitation as a counselor, he became a drug pusher and later, a drug dealer. But when he lost his family and all his possessions, he became a homeless crack addict. In 1986, with little more than the clothes on his back, he returned to the place of his birth. A few months later, he became a born-again Christian in 1987. In 1995, he was ordained to serve as a pastor of his childhood church. Today, he’s a columnist, writing weekly editorials on life (people, places and things) from his perspective.
