The din of urban streets is loud, It grows throughout the years, And yet it seems that no one cares, Must we suppress our fears, Where do I go from here my friend, Allow my heart to hear. I seek forgiveness from within, My soul you cannot steal, Is what I want from life so bad, Can my needs be real, Where do I go from here my friend, Allow my heart to feel. True are feelings from the heart, Yours, I wish to see, Is it so bad to show your love, To someone just like me, Do we go on from here my friend, Allow my heart to bleed.

About the Book
One of the reasons that his poems are so popular is because of the simplicity of the poems. They are easy to read, and yet he tries to convey some type of message or meaning within each one. He writes his poems in such a way that it allows people to think about the poem and what it means to them.
About the Author
The majority of these poems were written while he was a member of the Canadian Navy. He would sit out on the upper deck at night and look at the stars, and this is where most of his inspiration came from. Sometimes family and friends, mostly women, would ask him to write a poem for them, and that is where some of them also came from.
