About the Author

Eve Pollard Lawrence received her bachelor’s in psychology from Radford University and her master’s in special education from Old Dominion University. She works as learning specialist in Yorktown, Virginia. Whenever possible, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two wonderful daughters, Leah and Zoe. Kelly Warner is an education specialist working with sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders in San Diego, California. She has worked as a teacher for fifteen years across all grade levels. She is married to a US Coast Guard officer and is the mother of four amazing kids—Malayah, Milo, Mason, and Max. During her free time, she enjoys watching her kids play sports, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Eve and Kelly share a passion for teaching and loving students of all abilities. They hope to provide teachers with a positive way to prepare their students for some of the situations that occur and characteristics that can accompany children with emotional disabilities through a book that is easy for children to relate to and understand.
