About the Book
This interesting book, Who Will Bell the Cat, is written by me, Helena Manu. Growing up in Ghana, Africa, in the 1950s, our family did not have any form of entertainment like a TV or video games. My father had a small radio just for the news. We did not have much to do, so my father used to gather my siblings and I and told us tales. Some of these tales I have written about as a book for children of today, since they do not have such family times. I hope my book serves as a learning tool for people, especially children.
About the Author
My name is Helena Manu. I was born in Ghana, Africa, but currently a citizen of the United States. I was trained to become a school teacher and taught for twelve years in native Africa. Here in the United States, I tried to go to a nursing school, but I had to give up due to my then immigration status. I then worked in the hospital as a nurse’s aide for twelve years. After I retired from the hospital, I had a grandchild, so I decided to tell him tales just like my father did. I later decided to put the stories into writing for my grandchild. This is how the idea of writing kid’s books emerged in my life.
