About the Book

The book is about a little girl looking for a new friend. She goes to a pond and finds a frog. She takes the frog home to Mom, who freaks out, thinking it is a toad, and she has the girl return the toad to the pond. After the girl returns the toad, it surprises her.

About the Author

The Author is John Sluder of San Diego, California. What began as an assignment for an English class while stationed on board a U. S. Navy Aircraft Carrier is now a book every child will love to read again and again. While stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, John attended classes with Central Texas College trying to earn a college degree. John had a professor named Mr. Dalton (we believe that was his name) that gave him an assignment to write a children's story. John could not think of anything to write. Then John remembered something from his childhood.
