About the Book
Thank you for taking time to read Notes to My Loves. I was inspired to write this book about ten years ago. It began as a thought and evolved into something I didn’t expect, and it has taught me priceless lessons that I am excited to share with you. When I was a little girl, I loved eating at the Chinese restaurant because I knew that after dinner, I was going to get a fortune cookie. The anticipation and excitement I felt knowing that at the end of my meal I would be getting a positive note concerning my bright future was special and something I would share with others I cared about. When we write a note, it should be positive and uplifting. Never leave a negative note for your love because they will never forget it! It’s almost like branding “negative” in their memory, and the next time they see a note from you, they will look at it and say, “Oh my gracious, what now?” I learned this the hard way [smiling]! Happy reading and writing.
About the Author
Lanette is originally from Bremerton, Washington, a small military town in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and writing has always been a love of hers. The greatest loves of her life are her children, grandchildren, her dog Miles, and her granddog Bran Bran. She presently resides on the outskirts of Houston, Texas, a place she now calls home. Lanette is passionate about research for type I diabetes, brain cancer, and mental illness. She also supports our US troops and wants to bring a greater awareness for those who have sacrificed their lives, have left their families for long periods of time, and have come home from devastating war(s) and now suffer from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Lanette believes that life is a journey, and we all have a responsibility to do our part in encouraging others who cross our path.
