Meantime thousands of miles away Bill was sitting in his tent at base camp finally getting a chance to read his letters from Caroline and being able to write back. He had been out in the field for two weeks and it was the rainy season so just getting to dry out and have geet that weren't soaking wet for a change was wonderful. Bill had been thinking many times the last month or so that he would give anything to have gone to Canada instead. Everyday was another day to play hide and seek with the enemy and he was really tired of getting shot at. Caroline had mentioned a job she was considering but promised to write more when she knew for sure. Caroline's letters sounded like she was adjusting to life without him by keeping busy. She had said she might be working for another agency since she had done so well on her test. He knew she would do great. She was so bright and her future was going to be a great one he just wasn't sure he could be in it.

About the Author
Luci Hunt has been a real estate agent for almost forty years and draws on much of her experience in that profession for this novel. She lives in a small town in southern Indiana and was married to her husband for 47 years. He was a disabled veteran who was in the Vietnam War.
