About the Book
The Silly Sid series is for early readers and incorporates sight words, nonsense words and decodable words. The delightful characters, created and illustrated by David Gridley, will encourage your readers to use their decoding skills to correct Silly Sid's mistakes. Nonsense words are used to assess the reader's knowledge of phonetic rules.
About the Author
Katie Gridley, M.A., CCC-SLP lives in Senoia Georgia with her husband Tom. They have three grown children; Jason, David and Jenna. She is a licensed Speech Pathologist and also tutors in reading using the Orton-gillingham and Wilson methods. Her passion for teaching children led her to create the Silly Sid series. About the Illlustrator David Gridley is the son of Katie Gridley. He has always had a gift and passion for the arts. David received his B.A. in Theater at the University of Georgia and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with his wife Marina and works as a commissioned artist and actor.
