Slowly Amy drove up the driveway leading to the farmhouse, Patsy was right the water was very deep it was almost over the top of Amy's wheels but she did not want to stop, slowly gentle does it she thought to herself. Finally Amy reached the farmhouse and reversed up to the front step and opened her back door so that Mr and Mrs Gray could get in, Mrs gray was very upset but she knew she was safe now with Amy. She closed her back door and slowly drove back down the driveway 10,9,8 soon be out of all this water and mud and back on the road thought Amy 7,6 but ohh no Amy's wheels got stuck in the mud. Amy called to Fred 'can you help me Fred I'm stuck in the mud' but poor Fred was busy trying to pump away the water so Amy called to Patsy but Patsy knew she would get stuck in the mud as well ohh no thought Amy what am I going to do?

About the Book
Amy the Ambulance and friends follows the adventures of Amy and her two best friends Patsy the Police car and Fred the Fire engine. Together they look after a small fishing town called Port Gwen. On one lovely summers morning disaster strikes Home Farm after the water mains bursts and floods the farmhouse, when Mrs Gray slips and injures her arm it is up to Amy the Ambulance and her friends at the emergency services to rescue Mr and Mrs Gray from danger and get them to safety, will the three friends save the day?
About the Author
Amy the Ambulance and friends is the first in a series of books written by Paul Gillard. Paul first had the idea of writing a children's book whilst recovering from major back surgery following a severe back injury. It was whilst he was recovering at home he decided to base his books on the emergency services and have Amy the Ambulance as the main character.
