CORRECTING EVIL FOUNDATIONS
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalms 11:3 KJV)
The bible clearly States that when the foundation is wrong there is nothing the righteous can do. We have seen many believers struggle over blessings that naturally should be the children's bread. These blessings should have come easy but we have seen ourselves struggle many times to get them.
We were not carved out for a life of struggle. Sin and our corrupted foundations brought the struggles into our lives. Looking back at the life of Adam, he lived a life of divine and supernatural completeness and fullness in God. The garden had all that he required. He didn't have to ask for anything whatsoever, God knew his heart desires and granted them to him. He didn't ask for Eve, God knew he needed a wife and so brought Eve to him.
I am not talking about occasions where believers are going through tests and trials and persecution but about situations where the children of God experience setbacks that naturally should not be. I am not one of those that do not believe that believers go through tests. We do sometimes go through the wilderness. The children of Isreal went through the wilderness and Jesus also went through the wilderness. The reality of the matter is that we always come through every trial, carrying a victorious banner.
A corrupt foundation will not allow the building, no matter the size to stand erect and that is why when dealing with curses we must take a diagnostic look at our family tree. Medically we are required to diagnostically test our genes, cells and chromosomes, to ensure that since our cells are multiplying consistently that the genetic information of our body stays the same without mutilation and changes. This is called genetic testing. This test when carried out can easily detect wrong genetic conditions and then such conditions by the grace of God can be medically dealt with.
In the same vein we need to spiritually check our genetic composition. It is important to critically and regularly look into patterns that have been and exist in your family. If we check genetic modulations of our biological cells then we should also do spiritual testing of our genes. It makes common sense.
Why do people in certain families, work hard, get rich and suddenly everything loose everything? Why is this a pattern in some families?
Why is it a pattern in certain families, that all married women in the family return back to the family home either as spinsters or widows? Why is this a pattern in some families?
Why is it that in some families, the men never amount to much, the women become successful in business and careers but the men just never amount to much in their family life, career and businesses? Why is this a pattern in some families?
Ask yourself this question? What is the general life span of my family members?
Is sudden death rampant? Is sudden death a pattern in your family?
Going further in our diagnostic testing, I encourage you to check the roots of how you entered your marriage, your country of residence, your past and present jobs etc?
What did you do to get pregnant? Where did you go? What covenant did you make? Did you carry that baby as a result of sleeping with another man?
What compromises did you make?
Did you put out the wrong foot forward first?
Did you break the covenant with your God?
Do you need to repent?
Do you need to make restitution?
This is not to send you on a guilt trip but to free you.
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 1:8, 9 NLT)
We must accept our wrongs in order to move forward. Repentance and atonement is very important. It brings to bear the saying that there is no future without a past. Sometimes we just want to dust over the past like it never existed but it did exist. The past did happen and so we need to diagnostically dissect out lives spiritually in order to correct any existing evil foundations in our lives and families.
You will notice our key scripture in this segment ( Psalm 11:3) refers to foundations (with an s) and not foundation, which means that sometimes an individual might be dealing with several and not just one foundation. Things could have faltered from many angles and not one. And that is why we never stop correcting foundations until the Holy Spirit shows us no more. Hello, yes I know in Christ it is finished but we do need to work out our salvation. The last time I checked, this scripture referred to the righteous and not to unbelievers.
