About the Book

This story is about development of skills through play and sensory processing with toys, movement, auditory and external stimuli. David is a four-year-old boy who uses his imagination and toys to open up his world of play as every child does. The reader will be captured by memories of childhood and the magic of play as they read through the story and may be enticed to even pick up a toy and start playing themselves! Big or small, a well-treasured toy brings back lingering moments of childhood and how play is fundamental to growth.

About the Author

Margaret Grace is a certified occupational therapist with eighteen years working experience in the field. She has worked with children aged two to sixteen in the school-based and medically based models of her profession in those eighteen years. Through her work, she has gained a strong perspective of sensory integration, processing, and modulation and how that may impact areas of skill and development in children within their work of academic, play, and activities of daily living. Her books target the areas of play and the developmental skills needed to make that functional and purposeful to the child involved.
