About the Book
Life in Arosova was designed to be simple, equal, but for Sawyer Rivers it never has been. When Great Grandma Annette’s age out date arrives, Sawyer makes her the only promise she can, to protect Carter, her brother, from the totalitarian government set up just sixty years ago. As Carter steps up as Annette’s successor as head of Arosova’s rebel group, the Patriots, after her age out, he sets out to do the one thing Annette never did, and that has every Patriot on edge. Then when Sawyer is offered everything she had ever wanted, Carter orders her to be a pawn in his plan—everything Sawyer doesn’t want. Having to choose between what she wants and what her brother needs, Sawyer must ultimately question her loyalties and her identity.
