Herman, the baby flamingo, was born with gray feathers. He was curious why he did not look like his family, so Herman sets off to ask his friends in the Amazon forest to help him find the right color.Herman turns many different colors until he finally finds the right one.

About the Author

Maggie Miller is a middle school student and lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her parents, brother, and her pet Yorkie. Maggie enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with her best friend. She has participated in a foreign-language program since first grade. This book is the result of an assignment in her Spanish class, where she was instructed to write a children’s book. Maggie and her mom fell in love with the main character, Herman, and decided to share him with you.
