About the Book

Three children imprisoned for years because of their ancestry, their final release into a world as foreign to them as it would be if they were on another planet; their struggles, failures, and triumphs as they yearn for and finally achieve adulthood, trying to manage the gifts left to them by their progenitors: all of this combines to produce a fast-paced novel encompassing scenes which would be familiar to aficionados of The Time Traveler’s Wife, as well as to those who lean toward Star Trek.

About the Author

Hal McFarland is a Burlington, Kentucky native, a graduate of Georgetown and Xavier Universities. He also attended Butler University and, in Germany, the Goethe Institute. . Fear the Moonlight is his fourth journey into the realm of fiction, the others being A Dream Within A Dream, followed by his recent novel of international intrigue, Braving the Shadows. He has also co-authored a children’s book called The Life and Times of Dexter and a two-act play, Farewell To Rosegate, which was produced by The Union Community Theater and performed at Ryle Theater in Union, Kentucky. Hal, with his wife, Barbara, (also an author and playwright) lives on a Western Boone County, Kentucky farm, in a 19th century barn which he, over the course of a decade, converted into their home.
