When Otis the goat laid down to sleep at night, Baby would snuggle in-between his front legs. When Otis and Red Rooster would leave the barn, Baby would stay very close to them. If she got a little behind, she would peep, peep, peep and run as quickly as she could to catch up. Otis and Red would stop and wait for her. They were always together.

About the Book
"A True Story of a Very Different Family" is a childern's picture story written for little ones sitting on the lap of a parent, grandparent, or older childern reading by themselves. The main characters are two farm animals: an old goat and a big red rooster who join together to raise an orphaned baby chick. Even though they are different they create a unique family.
About the Author
I am a retired Learning Disabliities and Behavior Disorders teacher. The most important subject I taught was reading. I would like "A True Story of a Very Different Family" to make a contribution to the parent-child reading team. I have lived on a farm for over thirty five years raising all different kinds of animals ranging from the smallest creatures to horses. I am interested in wild animals and have the opportunity to see bears, deer, and fox on my horse riding trails on the 100 square miles of forest land behind the farm.
