Winter’s Secret captures the enjoyment of play while the cold winds of winter howl in the trees and grown-ups scurry to prepare for the holiday. A game of hide-and-seek reveals a secret treasure from the past.

Excitement fills the air when the children encounter a place far above, where the world below takes on a magical light. The snow-covered farm becomes a playground of white. The iced-over pond, nestled in the grove, awaits visitors.

New doors are opened, giving the young a peek into the past, leaving them with wonderment and surprise.

About the Author

Marlene Young has taught elementary education, attended writers’ workshops, and taught the value, treasure, and enjoyment of writing. She resides in the New York State Finger Lakes region with her family. This is her third children’s book and a sequel to her first book, Before Summer’s End.
