About the Book

The Ragwort Chronicles,The Beginning: The Ragworts of Brokenfell, is the first book of the the Ragworts, a long line of Warrior Gnomes who fought in the Blue Azuric Wars. This first book tells of their origins and their journey to Twistedoak. It tells of their adventures along the way, the creatures they meet and their first encounter with another famous gnome, Phillip Tuber of Twistedoak. This meeting will forever entwine the lives of the Ragworts family and the Tubers. They will show up again and again in the companion series, Phillip's Quest.

About the Author

A native New Yorker, I have been living in Virginia for 29 years with my husband and two entertaining felines. I have been an elementary language arts/reading teacher, mortgage lending operations manager, underwriter and legal assistant. Now, in my Autumn, I can proudly say I am an “author.” I have recently had my first children’s book published, Phillip’s Quest, Book 1: Winterfrost, a collaboration with illustrator, Dean Kuhta. Of all my accomplishments, I am the proudest of my book! An only child, I was born into a large Italian-American family. My mother, was an incredible cook, but a more incredible woman. Like her, I love to cook and watch people eat! I was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at age 22. A slowly degenerating disease it gave me the opportunity to do a lot of living in a very short time. In 2006, I developed a line of jewelry which is primarily the “Jewelry of Phillip’s Quest.” While I love making jewelry, my true passion has evolved into a little gnome named Phillip, and his family of fantastic characters!
