About the Book

They were both raised where we can go to Longhouse every Sapalwit(Sunday) possible; just as long as they know our Creator. We attend ceremonies when we can. My children an’ me are food gatherers for our people; just like it was taught to me. I am always complimented for havin’ such respectful children. But, my children are like any other children who will do wrong things here or there; who doesn’t rite?!! en’ no, I do not want to have another child because I, along with other mothers know how very hard it is……… SASSpeedis ‘14

About the Author

I am still a still a single mother of two- children who are growin’ up to be the most beautiful children underneath my eyes. My oldest daughter; Xumsalee Riata Speedis is now 15. She is very beautiful; she has the most beautiful smile that really makes her Huckleberry eyes stand out. She is in the 9th grade now. Her boyfren’ Kurtis is 16, an’ in the 10th grade now. My son Scwe’lelut Joshua Speedis is my youngest son, en’ he is 11. He has a very beautiful smile that, every time he grins two big- dimples show up on the tops of his cheeks.
