About the Book
Princess Pride is about a young princess who is losing confidence in herself because she has been comparing herself to pictures of other princess that she sees on books. With a pep talk from her father, she is reminded to appreciate and love her own qualities.
About the Author
Nkem Okakpu is an author with a background in education and therapy. She enjoys writing short stories, music, singing, dancing and exploring all things creative. She lives in New Jersey. Nkem discovered her joy for writing children's books while arranging and leveling the library of her first classroom. She read through a great deal of books in order to properly level them and was motivated to write some stories she could not find. Nkem Okakpu was nominated twice for the Harmony and Understanding Award in a school district; which demonstrated her incorporation of multicultural celebration and understanding into classroom lessons. She did this with the magic of storybooks.
