Dynomis easily slides the door to the side as if it did not weigh anything then casts her out the door forcibly. Shina trips down a set of three stairs that were just outside the door and falls to the brown dirt street below. The sudden bright light from the sun, or as what she will come to learn as it is called here, “the central fire” blinds her powerfully, the sudden change of the dark and dank building to the rush and roar of the outside. Hot air and brisk winds nip at her skin, as well as the burn from the sun, was greater, and even the taste of dust and dirt of the street was different. The air was a bit heavy around her, almost being muggy in a way and could smell several types of smells drifting through the busy streets. She closes her eyes for a moment trying to grasp and calm herself then opens them after a few moments. Once her eyes focus enough to see around her, she notices a few Women in robes and full dress were staring down at her. Each one wore robes of a different color, and two of them had robes of two colors.
Shina looked around more and saw two men sitting at a small table, under an overhang, with what looked like game playing pieces on it that reminded her of what looked like chess although the board and pieces were distorted, modified to fit this wild world. The men sitting at the game wore some of the strangest designed clothing that she had ever seen. They were fully hooded in long bulky robes of red and orange checkered patterns. Shina also found females like her in the crowd, with metal bands around arms, wrists, ankles and neck running around in outfits that looked like something a belly dancer would wear, or even nothing at all. None of them seemed ashamed nor even aware of their naked or nearly naked bodies and went about life as normal.
The street itself was lined with buildings, shops and stands of different sizes and shapes. There were hundreds of people surrounding Shina and Dynomis as they walked through the crowds. It was truly a marketplace. The streets were stone in places while dirt covered others, and many of the sights that she saw amazed her, such as the men who could be found riding huge lizards that stood up on two feet. The lizard that she saw up close had rather large, greenish scales and wore a special design of saddle on its back. There was also a wider cushion that stuck out from under the saddle looking as if it were gel. Shina noticed that whoever rode on one of the lizards had to wear a suit to keep from injury and carried a long pike in their hand. The lizard reminded her of a miniature dinosaur as it stood about the size of a horse or a velocerapter and scared her quite a lot.
She lets out a scream of surprise as one walked past her roughly, grunting and snorting as it pushed through the crowd. She could feel the ground shudder as the beasts feet connected with the ground. The sight of the beast caused her to fall back away from it and trip over her own feet. Landing directly in front of Dynomis, she gasped out as she gazed up at him in fear of what he would do. Dynomis stared at her, grumbling slightly then reached down grabbing her wrists and pulled her up off the ground. The man who rode the animal had began laughing at her, obviously finding the situation enjoyable.
Shina passes by many outside stands and shops as she follows Dynomis, horrified of what might happen if she falls behind. the shops and stands held and sold many things, practically everything one could imagine, swords, dishes, armor, baskets and food items. There were even small animals to be as pets or stock for fresh meat for houses.
