SHEDDING THE SKIN
Cobra has been staying in the cocoa farm for very a long time. Within this period, he has been chasing his prey by dragging to and fro. Either he is dragging on the trees or on the ground. His skin is highly affected. Sometimes, he is locked by thorns. Sometimes, too, he falls down from the top of the trees. This has made his skin wrinkled. He has become very old due to his skin. He, therefore, doesn’t look attractive. He has recognized this by himself. He has now been absorbed with thoughts as to what to do.
“I must shed my old skin to be able to become attractive once again,” he says to himself. He is dragging ahead in expectation, looking for a place where he will shed his skin. Cobra is moving toward the river. He himself knows exactly what he is going there to do. On reaching the riverside, he has caught sight of a gigantic rock situated near the river.
“See, there is the rock! I will become a new creature. Even crabs shed their skins how much more me!”
He is moving round the rock, smelling round it. This time, he has begun shedding his skin. Do you know which part of his body he uses against the rock before shedding his skin? In point of fact, God is wonderful. Cobra has begun shedding his skin by rubbing his nose against the rock in order to separate the old layer from his lips.
“In actual fact, though this act is very painful, it cannot kill me. And even after I have finished, I will forget the pain, for it will pain me no more, and I will have good looks in this auditorium,” he avers his course.
As the old layer is loosened—including the two scales that cover the snake’s eyes—the snake crawls out of the skin.
As he has finished shedding his skin, he smells the shed skin.
“Hmm! That odour scent of my skin! That my body was polluting the whole auditorium might be true. Today, I will be free from blames. You bullshit skin!” Cobra talks with tears of joy.
He is now elongating away from the old skin, leaving it behind. This time, Cobra looks very attractive. You can recognize a smiling face. The old has gone! The new has come!
Let us learn a lesson from this characteristic.
A new creation
If you don’t destroy the old building, you cannot build a new one. If you don’t move forward, you cannot measure a distance (i.e. you cannot say that you have covered a distance). If the velocity of a car is zero, it means the car has covered no distance.
If you are interested in your old creation, you cannot modify it or create a new one.
The existing creation is always being depreciated. It is losing its value. An attractive article does not always look attractive to the eyes. The adjective wonderful does not qualify something already there. What is already there is not wonderful. If someone is tagged wonderful, it means he always creates new ideas. A new creation means a new idea. A new idea means a new finding. No wonder The United States of America and the other Buoyant Economies are always improving. The new findings are always available. They always destroy the old skin so that they can develop a new one. A new creation is parallel to hard work. If you are lazy, you can never shed your skin. A new creation means don’t feel complacent. Complacence kills initiative.
If it is an obligatory to wear the black attire of the police, it must as well be an obligatory to stop all sinful acts in the churches and stop saying that “Even if I sin, I will be forgiven when I confess.”
This is a satanic invention! It is an irrational love statement! Why do you want to sin because you will be forgiven? As a pastor, if you advise somebody that he shouldn’t worry about his sinful acts, because anytime he sins and seeks forgiveness, he will be forgiven, then it is unnecessary advice. In fact, it is unfortunate. It means you are only killing the one softly spiritually. The sins you commit will remind you that God’s love is not in you anymore. When the Spirit in you feels boring, it implies that there is some hidden sin in you. True men of God love the righteous path, and so they walk on it always.
As many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God. ------- Paul
What rule? The rule that the old things must be gone and new things must come.
Christianity is not strata of degrees. It is shedding the old skins.
Beware of the non-mentioning-Christ men of God.
Shedding from your lips
Cobra sheds his skin from his mouth. This is wonderful. Why not from his tail or any other place? To me, this is a miracle, which we must discuss.
A lip is a linguistic which reads every word of his Encyclopaedia ― the tongue.
Therefore, if you don’t be careful, you will read what we don’t read. If you are fond of speaking the old funny things, shed them. It will not help.
Let us discuss how Apostle James described this Encyclopaedia.
