About the Book
Written with courage and pride, this is a heart wrenching personal story - the truth as an outstanding young man named Jaylon O'Neal lived it. To read his book is to know what it feels like to be "autistic" and to have grown up with the stigmatism that surrounds it. Chapter after chapter, he gives you a glimpse at what it’s really like to be "different".
About the Author
I want to be in the lives of people that have trouble coping with autism. I want to show children, teens, and adults that having autism is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. It doesn't mean you're dumb. It doesn't mean you're slow. It doesn't mean you're stupid. It doesn't mean you're insane. It doesn't mean you're weak. It means you're human and we are all different. Everybody's different in their own unique way. And that's what autism is. Pure uniquity. People with autism live happy lives every day and they are one of the smartest people on this earth. They can be doctors, lawyers, businessmen, politicians, judges, actors, athletes, authors, CEOs, celebrities, etc. You could have autism. Autism doesn’t discriminate. But it's up to you to either make it a crutch or make a difference with it. This book is dedicated to the millions of people around the world without a voice. Without a person in the world to call a friend, without a person in the world that's willing to help them in their time of need, without a person that will listen to what they have to say, without a person that will understand their thoughts and feelings. This book is dedicated to the people that have been hated, neglected, abused, and tormented around the world every day. This book is dedicated to the people whose cries for help go unanswered. This book is dedicated to all the people who feel that they have nowhere else to turn. This book is dedicated to the people who have been deemed wrong by the judgmental society in which we live.
