About the Book

It was a time of honored traditions and tight-knit communities ... an era where neighborhood schools thrived, and children played simple games in the fresh outdoors. Finding Lost Marbles: Remembering the ‘50s in River City is a whimsical look back at what once was, before technological gadgetry “wired” our youth, and a reflective consideration of how we can reach back and resurrect some of the values that made the Fifties so fabulous.

About the Author

Peggy Onofry Boyd is the author of Secrets from the Garden and The Gospel According to…Who? She worked with her husband in pastoral ministry for many years and has taught and written extensively on spiritual topics. Peg and her husband, Bob, have four children and eleven grandchildren. Having spent the last few years enjoying the beauty of northern Idaho, they are now making plans to hang a “Home Sweet Home” sign on a little farmstead in the Midwest, close to their children. Richard Onofry resides in Port Jervis, New York, with his wife, Lynda. They have three children: Scott, who works with his father at their financial planning business, Craig and Megan; and two grandchildren, Allison and Rebecca. He is an involved member of the community and an advocate for youth sports. He describes writing about his childhood as a labor of love.
