This book is based upon the true story of the April 27, 2011, outbreak of tornadoes that came through the state of Alabama. An EF4 tornado swept through a community destroying everything in its path. But it did leave behind survivors to tell the story of that day. Experience the actual events one family did as they were being thrown out of a house and into a field and witness the determination by all and the people from everywhere coming to help the victims to live as they all a waited hours for medical help. Trees upon twisted trees and debris from everywhere all over the roads made it completely unrecognizable even to residents of the valley. Even though the injuries were major, people still fought to survive. They all kept their faith that help was not far behind. Relive the aftermath and the struggles as everyone in this community did. About the Author
Stacy Michelle Landry is a freelance writer and author born in Pell City, Alabama, on April 1, 1971. Landry worked in the environmental business until April 27, 2011. In 1993, she moved her family to the beautiful countryside of Shoal Creek Valley in Ashville, Alabama. Her experience in the April 27, 2011, outbreak of devastating tornadoes in her community inspired her to write about the life-threatening events that she and her family survived. Landry and her children are survivors of an EF4 tornado that ripped through Shoal Creek Valley and came through the house that they were in, throwing them out into a field. Inspired by her true experiences, she wrote about the events of the tornado and the devastating aftermath in hopes of inspiring others to never give up. No matter what one may have to endure in life, one can go from being a victim to becoming a survivor. Based upon true breathtaking events, the author takes you step-by-step through everything that she experienced from having to leave her home behind and trying to seek shelter from the storm to having to figure out how to reestablish a new home. With the help of many volunteers and organizations, including several churches, she was able to set up foundations to rebuild her family home.
