For over thirty years I have been involved in trying to protect the natural habitat of native animals from being destroyed. Natural habitat is the only real place that the many animals, birds, insects and plants can survive.
Many extinctions have happened and are continuing to happen at a rapidly rising rate. This is due mainly to overpopulation of our planet. Forests are being cleared for timber and to plant crops to feed the ever expanding global population. Unless this problem is dealt with soon, we will be facing a catastrophe of extinction that will leave our World changed forever and may even threaten our existence. At the very least, it will severely degrade our quality of life.
This children's book is an attempt to introduce to them the huge challenge facing their generation. I have tried to make it light-hearted and easy to follow. I hope kids everywhere will learn something from this book.
