War is horrible. Being on the losing side makes it a lot worse. Being hunted down with a price on your head, your life hanging in the balance, has a horror of it's own. That's the position that Cato and Pierre find themselves. Two men running away is bad enough but, finding themselves in charge of two young ladies, one of them the daughter of the fallen king, the other one her lady in waiting, gives them further reason to leave the country. The Journey begins as they set sail for America and continues as they make good their escape from this danger, only to discover that many perils await them as they face their new life in this new country.

There is romance and adventures awaiting the four main characters as the journey begins. We follow the families as they solve many problems that they face and discover that, after many years, they meet the people we first met in the story of Moses' Rod. Following God's leadership helps with the many decisions made along the way, as it should for all of us.
About the Author
Married 52 years and counting. Baptist Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Odd Fellow and Mason. Four children and six grand children. Writing and working, part time. As author of Moses' Rod, this story is somewhat of a sequel. Ray and his wife Carol live in Hayesville, N.C. and are active in their church. Terry, Timmy, Rusty and Shirley all live nearby and are often at their parents home. Rays hobbies include reading and sports. Carol enjoys quilting.
