Ruben turned the truck into the pool area. Fryer was thinking that he didn't know if he could stand going much faster when all of a sudden the truck flipped and landed in the pool! The ride was over and the water felt GREAT! The chlorine was a bit strong, but Fryer didn't care. Now he really was FREE! He swam like a streak of light, jumped out of the pool and yelled "I'll be back!" He hopped away before Ruben could begin thinking about what he had just seen and heard. Ruben was shocked. He didn't understand how Fryer got out of the basement and into his truck. Even worse, now his favorite pet had left. Ruben was left with rescuing his truck from the pool and hoping it wasn't ruined by the water. Then he saw Sniffy running toward the field where Fryer had gone. "Sniffy, SNIFFY," yelled Ruben. Sniffy kept running. She was having too much fun to listen to Ruben. Fryer was jumping long and high, but it only took Sniffy a minute to catch up to him. Fryer used his back legs to brake and froze. Sniffy rubbed her nose all over Fryer and licked him a few times too. Sniffy opened her mouth and was about to close her jaws around Fryer to taste him when Fryer yelled "STOP, don't do that, DON'T EAT ME!" Fryer spoke in a language Sniffy could understand. "I wouldn't taste good to you. If you hurt me or eat me you'll be cursed for the rest of your big, stupid dog life. All kinds of bad things will happen to you."

About the Book
Gift From A Magical Frog is about a teenage boy, his family, his dog, his friend and a magical frog he gets to know. When the frog becomes a talking frog the adventures begin! The Frog has good ideas and a Great Plan. On one night the Frog explores inside the house and falls asleep in a remote control truck. Lessons are learned and eventually the dog gets shorter ears; the magical way, in a magical place. A crow "pops in" for a short stay and the frog outwits him. Another character the boy calls "ratty thing" adds more humor to the story. The Gift from the frog becomes known at the end when the frog reveals his great knowledge and wisdom about people. After that there is a magical ride that tops any roller coaster ride ever taken. Hints at the main theme (The Gift) are carried throughout the story. Although this story is completely fiction, "Gift From A Magical Frog" provides a good "life lesson." It is suitable for children, young at heart adults and appropriate for any age!

Yvonne Korotky has experience in Creative Writing and "Gift From A Magical Frog" is the second book she has published. "Abbey's Story" was published September 28, 2012. Yvonne is certified by Read West, Albuquerque, NM to teach English as a second language. Yvonne has taught two young women how to read and speak English. Yvonne is married and resides in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Yvonne and her husband, Michael, have three rescued dogs. Yvonne is a professional fine art artist and her favorite subjects to paint are florals and pets. Yvonne also plays piano and has for most of her life. She enjoys playing Hymns, Classical and Ragtime.
