About the Author
J. J. RYDER is a Yorkshire man from Hull who spent his formative years moving around the North of England, eventually becoming a specialist as the NSPCC inspector for North Yorkshire investigating the causes and treatment of child abuse with that national child protective agency. He also spent many years in senior manager with a national cancer charity, later choosing to attend university as a mature student. His love of sport has always played an important part in his life. Various professional roles encompassed dealing with the media being the subject of newspaper articles, often appearing on radio and TV. He uses his childhood and youthful memories in writing “tales” bringing to life the characters described. Most of the events mentioned are true, and today he lives in East Yorkshire preparing future novels.
