About the Author

Mrs. Pamela Rodriguez received a Masters of Science in Education from California Baptist University in 2009. Her thesis project, “Strategies and Practices for Substitute Teachers: A Guide for Success in the Classroom” won her the Graduate Student Award. While pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Human Development at the California State University of San Bernardino, she was invited to present her thesis, “The Relation of Personal Epistemology to Parenting Style and Goal Orientation in College Mothers” at the Society for Research in Child Development, Atlanta, Georgia (2005). In 2006, it was published as a journal article in Social Psychology of Education. Mrs. Rodriguez has over 12 years of experience in the field of education and counseling. Mrs. Rodriguez began substitute teaching in 2006 with the Jurupa Unified School District and began pregnancy counseling in 2000. Mrs. Rodriguez has designed character building programs, has co-facilitated workshops, and has spoken at numerous engagements within the community on diversity, sexual abstinence, and the impact of drugs and alcohol on the self and family. Currently, Mrs. Rodriguez resides in Riverside, California with her husband and 4 children. She is employed by the County of Riverside as a Behavioral Health Specialist and continues to substitute teach for the Jurupa Unified School District.
