… There was a black van pulling up beside us with the door open and a woman in the door. “Are you Lillian Armstrong?” the lady in the car asked. “Who wants to know?” Lily asked. We said that a lot. Back a couple of years ago we tricked someone when they asked us if our names were Lily and Emily. We said no and they didn’t think twice about it. “Answer the question” the lady barked. “Yes?” Lily replied. “And are you Emily Hall?” the lady asked me. I couldn’t breathe. Nothing like this had happened before. I wanted to run but my legs wouldn’t move. I could tell Lily was getting closer to me, that or I was moving closer to her. “Yes?” I quivered. My mouth suddenly got really dry and my feet felt like they were glued to the ground.
