DESTINY IN WILD AFRICA by Jean Mary Bonsor ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jean was born in Rhodesia – later called Zimbabwe - a small and beautiful Country lying in the heart of Africa that was later to be subjected to radical changes no-one could have foreseen in those halcyon early days. Jean taught at a small country school and subsequently met and married a man of the land – a tobacco farmer, who encouraged and developed her inherent love of the African bushveld. Their most precious times were spent exploring remote areas, and viewing the wonders of the natural bird and wildlife that abounded in the northern regions, specifically in Kariba and the Zambezi Valley. After losing their beloved home and farm during the infamous Government Land Reform Program Jean and her husband left Zimbabwe to join their family now living in New Zealand. It is hard to completely sever one's roots, however, and a large part of her heart will always remain in the wild and beautiful bush she once knew so well. Jean has longed dreamed of writing a book, and now that she lives in a land where dreams can be made to come true, she won't give up on hers. “Destiny in Wild Africa” is the start.
