I walk into a room and the air is filled with smog and I cough. I get closer and closer to Elle until our hands almost touch, and she disappears. But before she could vanish out of sight, I heard a faint whimper. I squint into the darkness and slowly take one more step toward where my sister once was. “Elle,” I whisper, I hear the whimper again and I run in that direction. I see her on the floor, sprawled out and crying. I cautiously step nearer and nearer to her. She looks up at me and struggles to get to feet. “Elle!” I shriek and she stops and smiles at me with a full head of razor sharp teeth and looks down. Our eyes stop at her hip. Bloody and her skin torn unevenly. She creeps toward me and leaps.

About the Book
Life is difficult for fifteen-year-old Serena Coleman since her parents left her alone to raise her younger sister. Her best friend Liam tries to help her out, but his violent temper gets in the way of them having any chance at a romantic relationship. Liam becomes more violent as he watches Serena fall in love with sixteen-year-old Ash Parker. Serena and Ash find themselves fighting for everyone they love, including each other. Along the way, Ash and Serena discover a dark secret that Liam has kept hidden for years.
About the Author
Carolann Plank is currently living in Brighton, Michigan, with her parents and her cat, Chloe. From a very young age, Carolann enjoyed reading books, which prepared her to write poetry and stories. At eleven years old she dedicated much of her free time to writing As Far as You Know. She is working on publishing her second book and hopes that with each project she is able to grow as an accomplished author.
