I hope children of all ages enjoy the antics and adventures of the Suwannee River critters in these tales; and it is my fervent hope that everyone is aware of their need for protection and recognition as special species, not only in Florida but for all of planet Earth. Sundown

About the Author

I have lived and worked in many state parks throughout Florida, first as a park service wife, and later I became a park ranger. Unlike the traditional upbringing of most children, my kids spent their entire childhoods exploring and experiencing the woods, rivers, lakes and beaches of Florida, and we became very familiar with Florida wildlife. Later, wanting my grandchildren to learn about the importance of caring for and preserving our precious natural environment, I was inspired to write about a variety of Florida “critters” and their adventures. In fact, the “critters” have been creeping, crawling, hopping, swimming and climbing around in my head, clamoring to get out!
