Well it’s a bit late for me to be asking those questions, especially on chapter 3! I mean come on! The big thing here is, I have always wanted to write a book. But I never thought I could , I mean I know I could write - I keep a diary – which unless it has 20 million pages - doesn’t usually last, because I’m an avid reader and writer. I also spend a lot of alone time so my diary is my friend! That’s how much a good writer I am, if only we could all be great writers from keeping a diary though! But the fact is we are. We are all just too chicken to do so. We most likely think that there is someone else who has all the luck or who is better and our book won't be read by anyone. Let me tell you a little something my dear mind – we are all worth something – even if it took you too long to figure that one out. In this wonderful world we live in, there is always going to be someone richer, more beautiful and more prosperous than you are. What we need to do is to stop comparing ourselves with other people. Compete with yourself, because if you compete with others, once you beat them then what? Find another to compete with? That just means your life is always going to be going up and down, stop start with no direction. Get a life will ya?

About the Book
This book is about the author’s personal experiences of the insanity of everyday living and her experiences as a black person and a woman. She has written it in a way that is meant to be engaging. Barbara opens up and invites her reader to experience her life through prose, narration and poetry. In inviting you, the reader, into conversation with her, she hopes to create and encourage dialogue on many fronts.
About the Author
Barbara is a new author who takes joy in reading and writing. She has an avid interest in anthropology and continues to look for ways to fulfill that interest, creatively exploring alternative mechanisms to understand and overcome the barriers in her life. At the time this book was written, she lived in Zimbabwe with her second family and volunteered with two organizations, both related to supporting those affected by HIV and AIDS.
