About the Book

Poems of an American in China in the early 20th century; looking at the mystery of the east from the perspective of the westerner, immersed in its mysterious paradox. And then the poems of love and affection engendered from early marriage, as much a reflection of its ardor and continuing influences on her life. Evocative and yet sensible, too
