About the Author
Ms. Mary Marie Debnam was born August 13th, 1969 in Portland, OR. Her greatest accomplishment was bringing her son Xavier into this world and raising him to be a loving and responsible young man. Even though he does not know this, Mary often thinks of her son as her “Sunshine”, because he brings light and balance into her life. For the last fourteen years, Mary has been employed with the United States Postal Service, and in the last five years, in Vancouver, WA as a window clerk. Though sometimes a challenge, Mary is faithful to her post everyday, greeting each customer with a smile and attitude of gratitude. Along with serving the public, Mary also serves in hospitality and on the finance committee of her church, Rehoboth World Healing Center, Portland, OR. Although serving brings her great satisfaction, Mary has found her passion in writing. She credits only God for giving her this awesome gift to express creativity with words. Mary’s prayer is that someone’s life will be changed because they saw themselves in her poetry. Strengthening them, to be able to let go and allow God to have total control. If God can do it for her, He can definitely do it for others.
