Preface
I would like to thank all of the people that have influenced me throughout my 24 years of life. Without them I would not have had the experiences and memories that make me who I am today. In one way or another each person has taught me a different value or lesson in life, whether it was good or bad. For that I am truly grateful to have met and gotten to know each one of you and am truly blessed to have the people that mean the most to me in my life today and in the days to come.
Now I am not going to lie to you. I actually just erased most of this part because this was one of the first things I did before I wrote the book. Looking at this book -"That's My Opinion, Period!"- this is more of a book on how to look at different values from a different perspective. Basically, this is a book of my opinions and should be viewed as such. In no way, shape, or form am I making any “facts” about life or certain situations (whether they are hypothetical or from my own experiences). For the people that read this book, know that the thoughts and things that I have experienced are from my own opinion and experiences from my own personal life. They are not opinions or experiences from someone else. Yes there are some of my experiences that mention other people who have been in my life and again, are from my own personal thoughts and conclusions. If for any reason you do not like what is written in this book then simply do not read it. You have to make the choice whether to read this book or not.
This book talks about what I believe are the most important values people should apply to their own lives. Some chapters are more about different things (politics, religion, economics, etc.) and again are from my own personal opinions about these topics and should not be taken to heart. There are no "set in stone" facts I write about for any of these topics, but simply how I look at them. People who read this book should read this book because they want a different perspective on life and are looking for someone else’s opinion on things that they may have questions about.
As a result, this book again is for anyone who wants a different opinion on life or maybe they are looking for a question to be answered. I personally believe that this book is really intended for the youth of America. With so many questions and thoughts about life and how they should go about living it, I wanted to inspire the youth of America with my own personal thoughts and opinions on values and certain topics of interest. Being young myself as I mentioned above, I feel that I have lived a lot of life in my 24 years and want to give something to the youth of America in return. I want to be able to not only voice my opinion in this book but also inspire and teach others to do great and wonderful things, not only for themselves, but for others around them as well!
The chapters in this book range from values such as respect and responsibility to love and laughter. The topics again vary from politics and economics, to religion and addictions. There are things in this book that may not be suitable for young children and in no way is meant for them. This book should be used by youth who are a year or two away from venturing out into the real world. Then again, maybe this book helps inspire an even younger crowd of children to go and do great and wonderful things as well. If parents see fit to expose this book to their children then that is by all means their choice. As adults, you should be able to take responsibility for allowing your children to read or not to read this book. Understand that this book is written in the mind of a 24-year-old and has language and experiences that some children may not fully understand or even confuse them more. Again, as parents and adults, you need to make the choice on whether or not your children read this book or not.
In this book, I try to explain to the reader the true power of these everyday values and how they can help them to not only be great, but to also do great things. Again, this is an opinionated book about these values and topics and may not apply to people who do not have an open mind. This book explains that all people are different and may do certain things for a reason. That it is okay to be who you are and to accept you for you. To understand how to treat others and treat yourself in a positive manner. That it is okay to take responsibility for your actions and choices whether they are good or bad and to more importantly, accept responsibility for your choices and actions. To respect others for their different opinions whether you believe them to be right or wrong. Above all, to laugh, love, and show loyalty to not only yourself, but others as well. Finally that by making good choices, you not only set yourself up for successes, but you also make a better world for yourself and others as well.
So here it is-the book based solely on my opinion and nobody else’s. The book that was inspired by me to enlighten others and to bring a different perspective to the table. A book that was created to help others understand and realize that there is truly something bigger than themselves out there. So again, here it is-the book "That's My Opinion, Period!" Enjoy!
