About the Author
Judy West Fleschner is a married mother of two, who has been a teacher for many years. After growing up in Indiana, her family now resides in South Carolina. Her family's two dogs are a constant example of unconditional love and acceptance. She has always valued the lessons dogs can teach a family as family members learn to earn a dog's love, trust, and loyalty. After time spent volunteering in her local animal shelter with her daughter, she was inspired to write Pawna's story.
