Percy jumped off the diving board again and again. Gran was worried. “You’ll make yourself sick!” But Percy paid no mind. He was having too much fun splashing in the water.
When Percy came out to dry off, his ears felt swishy and whooshy. “You have to shake all the water out of your ears,” said Gran.
Percy shook his head sideways and forwardways and backwardways and even upside downways until all the water oozed out.

About the Author
Kariné Marwood and Julie Kim are a Toronto-based writing team and members of the Writers Guild of Canada. They have written, produced and directed a short film, THE BANANA CHRONICLES, and have optioned their award-winning feature film screenplays. PERCY AND THE PERPETUAL OOZE is their first foray into the whimsical world of storytelling for children.
