About the Book
Rhymen the Rabbit lives in the forest with his animal friends. Whenever he speaks, his words are in rhyme, like a poem. He received this nickname from his fellow forest friends who enjoy hearing his little poetic speeches. Noticing all the changes in the forest and environment, Rhymen seeks answers to the problems in the forest. "Save the Forest," and the sequel book: "Meeting the Forest Ranger," shares the tale of how the animals look for help in cleaning up the forest.
About the Author
Rosemary Byrnes Massie grew up in Rye, NY and is now a resident of New Bern, NC. She is a Member of a Writer's Roundtable Group in New Bern, participating in writing projects for the group. These children's tales were written 25 years ago, but not published. A rabbit with a leaning towards saving the forest, then, may have been ahead of the times. The timing for sharing the story now seemed on target with all of today's ecological awareness. What better way to promote this idea, but by having children learn about it in these rhyming rabbit tales? Besides writing, the author enjoys an actiive retirement playing tennis, swimming and bike riding. Along with her two dogs, a move to Charleston, SC is planned for the near future.
