Were you ever labeled a s "Bad" because you were misunderstood or called crazy because you were different? "Love Me Too" is about an African American boy named Darryl who is teased by his peers because he appears to be different and labeled as bad by some of his teachers. In his school environment, Darryl struggles with coping with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) as well as the desire to be accepted by his classmates and his teachers. Like most children who have a mental health diagnosis, Darryl is misunderstood. On a daily basis, Darryl is teased by his classmates but he stands up for himself. Take a journey with Darryl as he experiences every emotion from sadness to happiness to acceptance in "Love Me Too."


About the Author

Javenna was born on May 4 1976 and raised in Philadelphia. She was raised by a single mother and has 8siblings. She grew up in the East Falls Projects in North Philadelphia. Javenna attended Scotland School for Veteran's Children. She is grateful for S. S. V.C and the American Legion Organization. After high school, Javenna attended Temple University where she received her BA in Criminal Justice and obtained her Master's Degree in Education for Lincoln University. In her professional career, a s a Social Worker she has worked with adults and children with mental health/drug and alcohol diagnosis and children in the foster care system. Javenna also taught as a contracted Special Education/Emotional Support Teacher for 3 years in several public high schools in Philadelphia. She believes in being a role model to the youth. In 2006, with the assistance of friend/volunteers started N Root 2 Self-Esteem, a volunteer program that operates in shelters that enchances the youth and adults self-esteem though free hair maintenance and education. Javenna's passion is writing books, song lyrics, jingles, and screen plays. Currently, she is pursing a writing career.
