Cloaks Under God

The current has picked me up again and floats me without much effort. Now the bottom is sandier, it is a real light -colored sand. In the middle grounds of this great divide behind me, the bottom before I came out, was a dark and mucky dirt where there wasn't any of the beautiful things. I must have gone over fifty miles in this continental crack. At my speeds, it's a lot more. The time I was swooping through the south end where it was so dangerous in between all the towering timbers of stone, I was covering more water than I realized, I'm sure. It isn't very far on the north side of the divides end. I'm only maybe fifty yards short of the whole valley, shallowing out into the normal fifteen or twenty feet. It is out around its sides following its banks. this machine was, I think, hitting fifty or sixty knots.
