About the Book

This book was written from my personal experience with the provisions and principles described in trhe Bible. My personal health problems encountered over the course of my 73 years on this Earth was in part, the reason this book was written. I share my story now in hope that someone will be blessed my the information set to print here. My primary audience is the American Church, from which my Journey began. In my early years, I was blessed to be a part of the Baptist congregation in Berkeley, California. As time progressed from my exposure to the Gospel in the Church to my actual conversion experience at 12 years old, many questions arose which were not answered by my Church. In my conversatons with my peers and family, the gap in the questions and answers only got wider. Many of these questions are answered in this book. It is suficent to say, MY JOURNEY TO DIVINE HEALING was my effort to organize my life experiences in such a way as to convey both meaning and structure around existance. It is my belief that many people have had, and still have the same life experiences and concerns as myself and have not recieved satisfactory answers. It is my intent to shed light on these concerns from a Biblical foundation, with logic, knowledge, undrestanding and wisdom. I believe the reader will be rewarded many times over when digesting the content of this Book. In addition I think the reader will be pleasantly surprised when they begin to do what they learn.

About the Author

MY JOURNEY TO DIVINE HEALING HEALING THE WAY JESUS DID IT My name is Henry Edward Dorsey, born to Mary Jane Evens and Armstead Dillard Dorsey in Waco, Texas. I grew up with an older brother, Armstead Jr. and younger sisters Joan Mary and Patricia Anne. From an early age, I have been exposed to the teachings of the Bible and the expectation that I would follow its' teachings. My family has been committed to the principle that the Bible is the only True Guide to Life. I have studied the Bible for over sixty (60) yeary. Forty (40) of those years, I have taught Bible studies. For me, the Bible is a story as yet to be completly fullfiled. However, I have discovered that we have enough of the Story to emplement what the Words of Jesus tells us to do today. Further, it has been my experience that all of the Bible is truly reliable, and I teach in that manner. My life began in 1938 in Texas, My famliy moved California in 1944 during World War II To Oakland. After two years, My family bought a home in berkeley, at 2230 8th Street and that is where I grew up. Life was simple and interesting. During those days we grew much of our food and raised rabbits and chickens. We had four fruit trees. I always looked forward to Summer because of our fruit trees. In those days, all of my friends had an awareness of relegion and health and wellness. This was true from Elementary School thru Berkeley High School. There is a Proverb that says ; "Train up a Child when they are young, and when they grow old, they will not depart from it" I have kept this proverb in mind in my Education and later my career in teaching. As a Minority, in a Majority Culture, I believe my perspective has a penetrating effectiveness that derives from my unique vantage point. My life work has involved putting into practice what I have learned as a result of my unique perspectives. The study of the Bible and the Life of Jesus has formed my opinions and perspectives more than any other factor. What you will find in this Book is the validation of my testimony from Real Life Experiences. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised and pleased as you move-- FROM KNOWLEDGE--TO UNDERSTANDING--TO WISDOM --TO EMPLEMENTATION.
