About the Book
Leap’s Day is a story about the calendar, friendship and the things that make us special. Join Leap as he sets out to find a special day – a “birthday” - for each one of his friends, only to discover that he must first create a calendar. Leap works with his dad to unravel the mystery of years, months, days and dates - and of course that pesky little day that comes along just once every four years.
About the Author
Stephanie Simmons grew up in a family where birthdays were a time to celebrate "you" with family and friends. When her son was born on February 29th she embraced the chance to show him just how special "his day" is, and to never let "invisible birthdays" be moments for sadness. After 20 years in management Stephanie now enjoys being "retired". She is a published photographer, avid scrapbooker, and most of all a wife and mother. Stephanie lives in New Jersey with her husband, son, dogs, cats and fish - and of course loves the frogs in their Koi pond.
