This fairy tale will transport you to another time with magical actions, evil siblings and where a damsel in distress has her happy ending; Similar to Cinderella with a twist. Th is book can be used as a mentor text. It is not only for entertainment, but also gives examples of fi gurative language and promotes healthy eating.

About the Author

During my 36-year teaching career as a reading specialist, I have used story books as an instructional tool. I am a good judge of what children like to listen to, and I know they will enjoy this story. I retired in December 2010, and I help care for my 94 year old mother. Caring for her is a lovely family affair with a well-developed schedule. (eight siblings). I live in Benavides, Texas with my husband Frank A. Vaello Jr. My son Christopher, a firefighter, resides in South Texas with his wife Adriana and their children, Ramiro, Alexis and Christopher Jr. My daughter Christin is a dentist in North Texas. God has blessed me with abundant joy, and for that I am so greatful.
