About the Book

“A must read of a “remarkable” woman and her family’s journey through trauma and loss and God’s amazing miracles that graciously brought them through it.” Laurie Knight, LCSW, LMFT “Following a miraculous survival, Cathy fearlessly shares her innermost thoughts and feelings. In spite of her injury, she expresses her experiences giving us a glimpse into her world to help us understand the impact on her life.” Amy Rudbeck, RD

About the Author

This is Cathy’s first attempt at writing a book. She is an ordinary person who had an extraordinary experience. Odds don’t always apply or she wouldn’t be here. She came through a remarkable journey with a mission to tell her story for the benefit of other survivors and their families. Imagine having been a clinician for almost 30 years, waking up to find yourself in your patient’s wheelchair, lost 6 weeks and look like a different person. To help tell her story, since she wasn’t always cognizant, her daughter Christine is her co-author to put another perspective on this journey. The goal is the same: To share a story that will help other aneurysm, stroke survivors and their families. “We want to take you into our hearts and heads to better understand what happens, emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Thank you for joining us on our journey.” Cathy lives in rural Indiana on a farm with her husband, two German Shepherds and one cat. Christine attends a university in Indiana studying in preparation for a degree in Occupational Therapy.
