A Star Or A Fan
You shouldn't regret the mistakes you've made.
Just learn from them to get better.
Or never move on, wine about the past
And cry a lake as big as the Vättern.
If knowing is half the battle
The other half is applying what you know.
No one knows it all,
But you should get smarter and wiser as you grow.
You can live your life as a cliché
Or blaze a trail that starts today.
You hold the power in your hand
To be a star or just a fan.

About the Book
This book of 30 poems and vivid illustrations will take you on a personal journey through the life and experiences of an ordinary young woman from the urban areas of Prince George's County Maryland.
From Leak's private journal, she shares personal events, learned lessons and deep emotions that many may face in life. As she shares her trials, struggles and faith, she wishes to encourage all who can relate to remain steadfast as they strive to overcome any and every obstacle in their life.
About the Author
Letasia Zvonne Leak is an ordinary young woman who was born and raised in Prince George's County Maryland. Once considered an "at risk" child, she grew to overcome the systematic labels and stereotypes given her. After receiving her Bachelor's from North Carolina Central University, she went on to become a teacher. As she continues her education she also continues to give back to the community. With a passion for education and student success, she voluntarily mentors and tutors young children and adolescence through after school and outreach programs.
